The Process of Obtaining a Residence Permit in Latvia
- 1 Consultation and situation analysis
We review the client's situation in detail, discuss the conditions and options, and assess the real chances of obtaining a residence permit.
- 2 Document preparation
We advise on the list of documents from the client's side and prepare the legal part of the package: questionnaires, applications and other necessary forms.
- 3 Submission of the invitation application
We submit the application to the competent authorities. Depending on the grounds, documents are filed in Latvia or at Latvian embassies abroad.
- 4 Submission of the full document package
After the invitation is approved, we submit the main package: documents on the grounds, a certificate of no criminal record, proof of funds and accommodation.
- 5 Review of documents
The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs reviews the documents and makes a decision. We keep in touch with the authority and inform the client.
- 6 Obtaining the residence permit card
After a positive decision, the applicant arrives in Latvia, registers biometric data and receives the residence permit card.
