Privacy Policy

NBC.LV (the nikav.lv website) respects your privacy. This policy describes what personal data we process, on what legal basis, with whom we share it and how you can exercise your rights. We process data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

Who processes the data

The data controller is NBC (Nika Business Consulting), Kr. Valdemāra iela 8, Rīga, Latvija. For questions about the processing of personal data and to exercise your rights, write to info@nikav.lv.

What data we collect

  • Form data: name, phone, email and the message text you submit voluntarily.
  • Chat data: the messages you send to our online assistant, including contact details if you provide them.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed - to the extent needed for the operation and security of the site.
  • Analytics data about site usage via Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica - only with your consent.

Purposes and legal basis

  • To respond to your inquiry and provide a consultation - based on your request and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b), 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Operating the online assistant and processing your messages - based on your consent when you start a chat (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where relevant, to take steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Analytics and improving the site - based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Complying with legal requirements and protecting our rights - based on a legal obligation and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(c), 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who we share data with

  • The hosting provider on whose infrastructure the site runs and its data is stored (servers in the EU).
  • The Telegram messenger: your requests from forms and chat reach our team via Telegram.
  • An AI service provider: chat messages are processed by an artificial-intelligence provider to generate a reply.
  • The analytics services Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica - only with your consent. We do not sell your data to third parties.

International data transfers

Some of our processors are located outside the European Economic Area. Transfers to Google Analytics (Google, USA) rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. Our AI provider may process your chat messages on servers outside the EEA (for example in the USA) under Standard Contractual Clauses. Yandex Metrica (Yandex) may process data on infrastructure in Russia, which has no EU adequacy decision and does not guarantee a level of data protection equivalent to the EEA. Because analytics and the chat load only after your explicit consent, that consent is also your informed agreement to these transfers under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Retention periods

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for the period required by law. Inquiry and chat data is kept while we handle your request and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless a longer statutory retention period applies (for example accounting records). Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics services.

Your rights

  • Access to your data, its rectification, erasure or restriction of processing.
  • Objection to processing and the right to data portability.
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
  • Lodging a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Latvia, the Data State Inspectorate, Datu valsts inspekcija, datainspekcija.gov.lv). To exercise your rights, write to info@nikav.lv.
